DOTr invites bidders for airport development projects in Laoag and Busuanga

The Department of Transportation (DOTr) is pleased to announce the invitation to bid for two critical infrastructure projects under its continued efforts to modernize the country’s aviation facilities and improve connectivity across the archipelago.

The bidding process has been officially opened for:

  1. The Construction of a Parallel Taxiway as part of the Laoag International Airport Development Project. This initiative aims to enhance airside capacity, improve operational efficiency, and support the growing passenger and cargo demand in the Ilocos Region.

  2. The Extension and Improvement of the Existing Concrete Runway of the Busuanga Airport Development Project in Palawan. This upgrade is designed to accommodate larger aircraft, boost tourism, and ensure safer, more reliable air travel to one of the country’s premier tourist destinations.

These projects are part of the DOTr’s broader aviation infrastructure development program, aligned with the Philippine government’s commitment to regional development, economic growth, and enhanced mobility.

Interested and eligible bidders are encouraged to participate and contribute to these transformative projects that are set to improve air transportation infrastructure and service delivery in Northern Luzon and Palawan.

Details regarding bid submission requirements, deadlines, and schedules are available through the DOTr Bids and Awards Committee or the Philippine Government Electronic Procurement System (PhilGEPS).
