Cargo handling tariffs at Batangas port, which is operated by Asian Terminal Inc. (ATI), will be increased by 16 percent to be implemented in two phases starting July 1, 2025.
The Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) issued a Мemorandum Circular (MC) No. 010-2025 on May 13, 2025 following PPA Board Resolution No. 3318, which approved the increase in the existing cargo handling tariffs for the Batangas port.
The first phase of the tariff adjustment is a ten percent increase to be effective not earlier than July 1, 2025. The second phase is the implementation of the remaining 6 percent hike that will take effect no later than Jan. 1, 2026.
The MC, signed by PPA General Manager Jay Santiago, was addressed to the Port Management Office of Batangas, Asian Terminals Inc., operator of Batangas port; and ATI Batangas Inc. (ATIBI) cargo owners/brokers/shipping lines and other port users concerned.
The MC was already published in a newspaper of general circulation on May 15, 2025.
