President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., joined by First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos and their family, led the official launch of the “Pamilya Pass 1+3” promo on Sunday across the country’s major rail lines. The initiative, part of the broader Bagong Pilipinas (New Philippines) campaign, aims to support Filipino families by making public transport more affordable and encouraging quality family time every Sunday.
Beginning June 1, 2025, and running every Sunday until the last Sunday of 2028, the Pamilya Pass 1+3 promo allows up to three family members to ride for free on Metro Manila’s rail systems — including MRT-3, LRT-1, and LRT-2 — when accompanied by one paying family member.
“This initiative is deeply rooted in our Filipino tradition of family togetherness, especially on Sundays,” said President Marcos. “We often hear people say they no longer have time for their families. With this promo, we create a chance for every Filipino family to share moments, enjoy Sundays, and ease their daily burden.”
The President emphasized that the program is a small but meaningful step in addressing commuters’ everyday challenges while nurturing values that are central to Filipino identity.
Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon also expressed full government support for the initiative, highlighting its role in reducing travel costs and enhancing accessibility to public transport.
“This is part of President Bongbong Marcos’ commitment to make public transportation more affordable and family-oriented,” said Dizon. “We want Filipino families to enjoy their Sundays together, without worrying about the cost of getting there.”
Eligible family members include parents and children, grandparents and grandchildren, siblings, uncles or aunts, and legal guardians with dependents.
The Pamilya Pass 1+3 promo stands as a testament to the Marcos administration’s dedication to building a more inclusive, accessible, and family-friendly transportation system under the New Pilipinas vision.
