Pres. Marcos Jr. orders emergency transport deployment amid rainfall and flooding

In response to ongoing rainfall and flooding affecting commuters, the President today re-ordered the emergency deployment of buses and trucks from the Department of Transportation (DOTr), the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), and the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA). The transport units will operate during peak hours, from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, to assist passengers still needing to travel.

The initiative aims to provide vital transportation options for residents impacted by the adverse weather conditions, ensuring their safe transit despite the challenges posed by flooding.

Buses and trucks will be strategically positioned to fetch passengers along key routes, including:

  • Quiapo-Angono
  • Quiapo-Fairview
  • Lawton-Alabang
  • Philcoa-Fairview

This coordinated effort underscores the government’s commitment to public safety and convenience during periods of environmental challenge. Authorities urge commuters to remain vigilant, prioritize their safety, and cooperate with transport personnel.
