Globe accelerates recovery, reaches over 1,000 families

Globe said it continued to step up its recovery and relief operations in the wake of Typhoon “Emong,” with sustained network restoration and critical aid efforts now in motion across the hardest-hit areas of Northern Luzon.

As of July 26, 395 cities and municipalities across 19 provinces experienced service disruptions brought about by widespread power and transmission outages. Of the 135 municipalities affected, 101 municipalities are now fully restored and 100% operational, with restoration efforts ongoing in the remaining areas. Globe field teams remain on the ground, with further restoration work scheduled in the coming days.

Globe continues to mobilize network assets to ensure immediate service reactivation. In the past days, LTLC services were also rolled out in multiple affected areas.

Relief operations

Globe, through Brigadang Ayala and Ayala Foundation Inc. (AFI), has so far supported 902 families with essential aid. An additional 121 family packs, in partnership with Rise Against Hunger (RAH), are set for delivery on July 28, on top of the 359 packs previously distributed to affected communities.

This coordinated relief deployment underscores the company’s deepened commitment to holistic disaster response that extends beyond connectivity to meet basic human needs during times of crisis.

“We are seeing meaningful movement across both restoration and relief fronts. Our teams on the ground are working around the clock to reconnect communities and deliver aid where it’s needed most,” Globe’s Chief Sustainability and Corporate Communications Officer Yoly Crisanto said. “Every site we restore and every family we reach reflects our continuing commitment to serve with urgency and compassion during calamities.”

Globe’s efforts are part of its larger, unified disaster resilience framework, built on proactive restoration, immediate relief distribution, and collaboration with national and local partners.
