FAST Logistics Group, one of the country’s leading end-to-end logistics provider, has announced its commitment to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050 alongside the launch of its Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategy, marking a major step in its sustainability journey.
The announcement was made on Friday, September 5, during Day 2 of the 2025 SCMAP Supply Chain Conference held at EDSA Shangri-La Manila.
In its decarbonization roadmap, FAST is targeting a 55 percent reduction in direct emissions by 2030, using 2023 as its baseline. The company also pledged to cut Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions, reduce waste and packaging, and invest in green technologies across its operations.
“Our journey to Net Zero is a transformation of how we power, move, and manage logistics,” said Manuel L. Onrejas Jr., FAST CEO for Logistics. “Every step we take to cut emissions brings us closer to a future where sustainability drives competitiveness.”
FAST’S ESG strategy is anchored on four key priorities: customer satisfaction and welfare; safe and empowered workplace; transitioning to a low-carbon economy; and strong governance and risk management.
The scale of FAST’s commitment is significant. The company operates the country’s largest warehouse footprint covering over two million square meters, with more than one million pallet positions, a billion annual case throughput — and the nation’s largest transport fleet of over 3,100 trucks.
In addition, FAST employs 12,000 over supply chain professionals serving multinational companies, Filipino conglomerates, and micro-entrepreneurs.
In recognition of its sustainability initiatives, FAST received the Sustainability and Green Logistics Award at the 2024 SCMAP Supply Chain Excellence Awards for pioneering the use of green technologies in Philippine logistics. In early 2024, the company rolled out the industry’s first fully electric truck, which utilizes solar-powered EV charging stations, as well as GPS and AI dashcam. Three of FAST’s major warehouses are also fully operating on 100 percent renewable energy.
Onrejas highlighted that FAST’s commitment goes beyond operations, aligned with its long-standing mission of providing Logistics Para sa Bayan.
“‘Logistics Para sa Bayan’ has always been about serving people and the planet,” he said. “Logistics can be a force for both progress and sustainability.”
As a sponsor of this year’s SCMAP Conference, FAST also showcased its comprehensive logistics portfolio, including transportation, warehousing, cross-docking, and value-added services — reinforcing its position as the partner of choice for businesses seeking efficient and sustainable supply chain solutions.
