FastCat announces temporary suspension of ferry services due to typhoon

FastCat has issued an advisory to all passengers announcing the cancellation of several ferry trip schedules effective immediately, in response to the deteriorating weather conditions caused by Typhoon Opong. The suspension is a necessary safety precaution to protect passengers and crew.

The affected routes and specific cancelled schedules can be found on the official FastCat website and on the company’s social media channels. Passengers are strongly advised to check these platforms regularly for the latest updates before heading to any port.

“The safety of our passengers and crew is FastCat’s utmost priority,” said a spokesperson for FastCat. “Based on the severe weather forecasts and to comply with local maritime safety protocols, we have made the difficult but necessary decision to temporarily suspend operations on the affected routes. We understand this causes inconvenience, and we sincerely apologize for the disruption to travel plans.”

FastCat is urging all affected passengers to take the following steps:

Do Not Proceed to the Terminal: Passengers with cancelled trips should not travel to the port, as there will be no departures.

Rebooking and Refunds: Passengers are entitled to rebook their tickets for a future travel date or request a full refund.

Stay Informed: The company will continuously monitor the weather and maritime conditions. Updates on the resumption of services will be announced as soon as it is safe to do so.
