ASEAN Investment Forum 2025 to drive sustainable economic growth and regional integration in Southeast Asia

The Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI), Malaysia, in partnership with the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA), is set to host the high-profile ASEAN Investment Forum on October 24, 2025, in Kuala Lumpur.

Co-organized with the ASEAN Coordinating Committee on Investment (CCI), the ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN BAC), and the United Nations ESCAP, the Forum will convene Ministers, global investors, and industry leaders to solidify ASEAN’s position as an integrated, investor-ready region.

The Forum is designed to foster cross-border opportunities and accelerate sustainable economic development across Southeast Asia. Key objectives include:

Promoting Regional Integration: Positioning ASEAN as a cohesive region with strong policy alignment and deep sectoral collaboration to attract significant foreign direct investment (FDI).

Showcasing Strategic Investments: Presenting a curated pipeline of investment-ready projects in critical high-growth sectors, including biofuels, carbon capture and storage (CCS), medical devices, solar PV, and resilient regional supply chains.

Facilitating High-Level Dialogue: Creating a platform for direct, high-impact discussions between governments, global investors, and investment promotion agencies (IPAs).

Accelerating Policy Implementation: Driving the effective and timely implementation of the ASEAN Regional Investment Promotion Action Plan (RIPAP) 2025-2030.

The event is a crucial gathering for high-level stakeholders, including ASEAN Ministers responsible for investment, senior government officials, global investors, IPAs, and leading private sector executives. Attendees will gain unparalleled insights into the region’s economic landscape and contribute to shaping the future of investment in Southeast Asia.

“This Forum represents a significant step forward in realizing ASEAN’s ambition for sustainable, long-term economic growth,” said a representative from MITI, Malaysia. “By bringing together policymakers and global capital, we aim to unlock high-value opportunities and cement ASEAN’s competitive edge in the global economy.”
