PPA and DOTr declare Batangas Port ticketing system a success ahead of Undas 2025

The Philippine Ports Authority (PPA), in close coordination with the Department of Transportation (DOTr), today announced the successful implementation of an honest and efficient ticketing system at Batangas Port, a critical gateway for the upcoming Undas holiday.

PPA General Manager Jay Santiago and DOTr Acting Secretary Giovanni Lopez personally led a comprehensive inspection at the port as part of “Oplan Byaheng Ayos Undas 2025,” an agency-wide initiative designed to ensure the safety, orderliness, and comfort of passengers traveling for the observance of All Souls’ Day and All Saints’ Day.

Following the inspection, GM Santiago highlighted the key operational improvement witnessed at Batangas Port: the smooth, transparent, and honest ticketing process.

“The ticketing system we have now is a testament to our continued efforts to combat illegal activities such as scalping and exploitation,” said GM Santiago. “At Batangas Port, we have witnessed complete order and transparency in ticket sales, which has resulted in fast, efficient, and trouble-free travel for our countrymen. We are committed to protecting the public from any form of corruption or chaos inside the port.”

GM Santiago further emphasized that this achievement reflects the PPA’s dedication to upholding honest public service, particularly during peak seasons when thousands of passengers rely on their services.

Meanwhile, DOTr Acting Secretary Giovanni Lopez commended the PPA for the successful execution of “Oplan Byaheng Ayos.” He assured the public that the DOTr will continue to coordinate proactively with all attached agencies to ensure the entire transportation sector remains fully prepared.

“The Batangas Port serves as a vital gateway to Southern Luzon and Mindoro. We have seen the readiness of the PPA and all stakeholders here,” Acting Secretary Lopez stated. “We encourage all travelers to follow the guidelines and be vigilant so that together we can achieve a ‘Byaheng Ayos’ (Smooth Journey) this Undas 2025.”

The PPA and DOTr encourage the public to plan their travel in advance, cooperate with authorities, and report any suspicious activities to ensure a safe and orderly holiday travel season.
