Global Aerospace forays in PH as manufacturer of unmanned aerial vehicles

Global Aerospace Technology Philippines Inc., a Hong Kong-based company, has registered with the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) as manufacturer and assembler of unmanned aerial vehicles, marking a significant step in advancing new frontiers in ecozone development, particularly in the aerospace sector.
PEZA Director General Tereso O. Panga and Global Aerospace Technology Philippines Inc. President Jason Carl Tyas signed the agreement on February 9, 2026. The firm is investing PHP30 million as new Ecozone Export Enterprise at the Cavite Technopark–Special Economic Zone in Naic, Cavite.
According to PEZA, the company is set to manufacture, fabricate, machine, and assemble unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), special-purpose machinery, and aerospace components, further reinforcing the country’s position in high-value, technology-driven manufacturing within the global aerospace ecosystem.
As more aircraft-related manufacturing entities enter the Philippines, PEZA has envisioned the creation of several aerotropolis ecozones in partnership with the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP).
This strategic direction aims to cluster aviation and aerospace enterprises near key airport hubs, strengthening infrastructure integration, supply chain efficiency, and global connectivity.
There is already a MOU between PEZA and the CAAP according to the Ecozone Development Manager Ludwig Daza. To advance this vision, PEZA is working with CAAP and other relevant authorities to develop the guidelines and see Aerotropolis Ecozones become a reality and operational in the near future.
Beyond strengthening the country’s aerospace capabilities, the project is expected to create supply chain opportunities for local micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) within and outside PEZA ecozones.
Through supplier linkages, subcontracting, precision parts manufacturing, logistics support, and technical services, MSMEs can integrate into the aerospace value chain, fostering inclusive industrial growth and domestic capability building.
In line with the President’s directive to accelerate industrial transformation and promote innovation-led industries, DG Panga noted, “I formally welcome Global Aerospace as part of the official family of investment partners, as this investment enhances the country’s aerospace capabilities and deepens its participation in the global value chain.”
“The project forms part of the broader aerospace ecosystem, positioning the Philippines to integrate with Japan—one of the world’s largest aircraft manufacturing nations—as it progresses toward high-value systems engineering, defense platforms, next-generation aircraft technologies, and sustainable aviation solutions.”
