The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) officially welcomed Her Excellency Katarzyna Wilkowiecka, Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to the Philippines, for a high-level meeting aimed at reinforcing the bilateral economic relationship between the two nations.
During the courtesy call, Secretary Cris A. Roque emphasized the Philippinesโ trajectory as a premier investment destination in Southeast Asia. Highlighting the countryโs robust GDP growth and sweeping regulatory reforms, Secretary Roque invited Polish enterprises to take a more active role in the Philippine market.
“The Philippines is open for business, and we see Poland as a strategic partner in our journey toward a more modernized and inclusive economy,” said Secretary Roque. “With our improving business environment and a young, digital-savvy workforce, there is immense potential for Polish firms to establish a stronger footprint here.”
The discussion centered on several strategic pillars designed to deepen the economic footprint of both nations:
