Reaffirming its commitment to countryside productivity and financial inclusion, LANDBANK launched a series of events to integrate the Bank’s support services across Northern Luzon. The rollout began on March 17 with the Agrisenso Plus Lending Program across two key locations in Cagayan, followed by an MSME Fair on March 18, and a Cash-Lite Campus initiative in Nueva Vizcaya on March 19.
The back-to-back Agrisenso Plus and MSME Fair events in Tuguegarao City and Lal-lo, Cagayan served as key engagement platforms for local producers, which drew some 1,200 farmers, fishers, and agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs), plus over 200 micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) representatives. The activities offered a one-stop venue for financing, financial education, and market networking — helping bridge rural stakeholders to accessible banking services.
“LANDBANK’s goal is to ensure that farmers and local entrepreneurs of Cagayan have the capital and the confidence to scale their operations. By bringing our financial services closer to the ground, we empower primary producers and small businesses to become more resilient, productive, and competitive in today’s market,” said LANDBANK President and CEO Lynette V. Ortiz.
MSME support
The Agrisenso Plus offers a specialized lending window for farmers, fishers, and agri entrepreneurs, with a low fixed interest rate of 3 percent per annum and flexible terms covering the entire agri value chain. As of February 2026, the program has released PHP3.46 billion in loans, supporting over 14,900 borrowers nationwide.
Complementing this is the LANDBANK ASCEND Program — a capacity-building initiative providing holistic development support. The program equips farmers and fishers with digital financial education, sustainable agriculture practices, and enterprise development guidance to help small-scale producers transition into competitive, climate-resilient agri-businesses.
“LANDBANK’s initiative strengthens our collective commitment to empower farmers, fisherfolks, and rural enterprises. This will remain at the heart of our province’s journey towards inclusive development that will be truly felt by our people,” said Cagayan Governor Edgar ‘Egay’ Aglipay, emphasizing the transformative power of accessible credit in building a more resilient and self-sufficient local economy.
Meanwhile, the Agdur-as MSME Fair provided local entrepreneurs with the opportunity to access a full suite of LANDBANK services, reinforcing the Bank’s nationwide MSME engagement following the successful Padayon MSME Fair in Bacolod City last month. Central to this support is the LIFTING MSMEs Lending Program, which expands access to credit for working capital, equipment acquisition, and business expansion.
MSME clients were also supported by the SULONG MSME Solution Suite, which bundles deposit and digital banking services to streamline payments, payroll, collections, and government contributions. Eligible sole proprietors may open accounts via the LANDBANK Mobile Banking App (MBA) and receive one year free life and accident insurance upon loan availment.
“Dati, share capital lang ang gamit namin. Ngayon, may pagkakataon na kaming makapag-loan para sa pang-kapital at expansion ng aming business,” shared mushroom cultivators and processors Aida Valdez and Dominica Binuya.
“Yung mga dala naming products, mismong doon pumasok ang bayad sa account, at pati sa bayad ng mga members namin sa share capital, direkta na sa aming LANDBANK account,” they added, underscoring the convenience of the Bank’s support in integrating digital payment solutions directly into their daily operations.
Advancing cash-lite campuses
In Nueva Vizcaya, LANDBANK advanced digital financial inclusion through the Cash-Lite Campus Initiative at the Nueva Vizcaya State University (NVSU), benefiting nearly 3,000 students and campus partners with secure, cashless payments for tuition, school fees, and campus transactions. Nationwide, the program has reached more than 12,500 students and personnel, promoting safer, more efficient, and digitally enabled learning environments.
“Not only has Cash-lite made transactions easier and food handling safer, it also boosts our confidence as business owners knowing our systems are digitized and secure,” said Jion Carl Redoña, a food concessionaire in NVSU, highlighting the increased trust and credibility that cashless systems build between vendors and their customers.
Through these combined initiatives in Cagayan and Nueva Vizcaya, LANDBANK continues to strengthen its role as a key driver of agricultural growth, MSME development, and digital innovation. In 2026, the Bank aims to expand these programs to more regions nationwide, providing enhanced support to agri-players, entrepreneurs, and students across the country.
