The Department of Tourism (DOT) joined the Hotel and Restaurant Association of the Philippines (HRAP) during its General Membership Meeting held on May 14, as member establishments reaffirmed their commitment to elevating Filipino hospitality and service excellence.
Composed of more than 250 hoteliers, restaurateurs, and educators from across the country, HRAP remains a vital partner of the DOT in advancing key tourism and hospitality initiatives. Among its notable contributions was its support for the successful hosting of the ASEAN Summit 2026, where international delegates experienced world-class accommodations and the renowned Filipino Brand of Service Excellence.
During the meeting, HRAP pledged its continued support for the DOT’s programs and priorities, emphasizing the importance of stronger collaboration between government and the private sector. The organization also highlighted the need for innovative, industry-led solutions to address evolving global challenges impacting the tourism and hospitality sectors.
In response, the DOT reaffirmed its commitment to supporting HRAP’s efforts in promoting the best of Filipino hospitality. The Department likewise underscored the value of sustained partnerships with private sector stakeholders in building a resilient, innovative, and globally competitive tourism industry.
