Delta Air Lines soars back to Manila with direct Los Angeles service starting March 2027

Delta Air Lines has announced its official return to the Philippine capital with the launch of new nonstop service between Ninoy Aquino International Airport (MNL) in Manila and Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), beginning March 28, 2027.

The strategic route marks a significant milestone in Delta’s transpacific network expansion, making it the only U.S. carrier to offer direct, nonstop flights connecting Manila and Los Angeles.

To cater to growing travel demand, the service will launch with a phased schedule:

  • March 28, 2027 – June 6, 2027: Operations will run three times per week.

  • June 7, 2027 onward: Service will expand to daily flights, timed ideally for the peak summer travel season.

The route will be operated using Delta’s flagship Airbus A350-900 aircraft, offering passengers a premium long-haul experience. Travelers can look forward to Delta’s award-winning customer service, state-of-the-art inflight entertainment, fast and free Wi-Fi for Delta SkyMiles members, and choice of cabin experiences—including the luxurious Delta One suites, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort+, and Main Cabin.

“Re-establishing nonstop service between Los Angeles and Manila strengthens our commitment to connecting people, cultures, and commerce across the Pacific,” said a Delta spokesperson. “As the only U.S. airline offering a direct link on this route, we are thrilled to offer travelers enhanced convenience, seamless connection options through our major hub at LAX, and an elevated onboard experience.”

The addition of Delta Air Lines highlights the growing global interest and commercial vitality of Manila as a major aviation hub in Southeast Asia. This expansion provides business and leisure travelers alike with more connections, flexibility, and choices when traveling between the Philippines, North America, and beyond.

Tickets for the new Los Angeles–Manila route will be available for purchase in the coming months via delta.com and the Fly Delta app.
