Vietjet expands network with new direct flights connecting Cebu to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City

Vietjet Air is set to expand its regional footprint this coming November with the launch of two new direct routes connecting the vibrant island of Cebu directly to Vietnam’s major hubs, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

Starting November 10, travelers can fly directly from Cebu to Hanoi, Vietnam’s historic capital known for its charming Old Quarter, rich cultural heritage, and serene lakes. Following closely on November 11, Vietjet will inaugurate its direct service between Cebu and Ho Chi Minh City, opening seamless access to the country’s economic center, world-famous street food culture, and bustling urban life.

The new direct routes are designed to boost tourism, trade, and cultural exchange between the Philippines and Vietnam:

  • Seamless Travel: Eliminates layovers, drastically reducing travel time between the Visayas region and Vietnam.

  • Gateway to Vietnam: Connects Filipino travelers directly to northern and southern Vietnam’s top historic and culinary destinations.

  • Inbound Tourism Boost: Brings Vietnamese and international travelers straight to Cebu, offering immediate access to white-sand beaches, world-class diving spots, and signature Filipino hospitality. “Whether you’re planning to sip egg coffee in Hanoi’s historic quarters, dive into Ho Chi Minh City’s legendary street food scene, or explore Cebu’s world-renowned island adventures, these new flights make tropical getaways and cultural escapes easier and more affordable than ever.”

Seats for the new routes are expected to open for booking shortly via the Vietjet Air website, mobile app, and authorized booking channels.
