SM Prime Holdings, Inc. (SM Prime), one of Southeast Asia’s leading integrated property developers, reinforced its leadership in inclusive real estate development by securing 14 honors at the 31st Apolinario Mabini Awards. Building on the 10 recognitions earned during the program’s previous cycle, the awards highlight SM Prime’s sustained commitment to creating accessible, obstacle-free spaces across its commercial malls and office properties.
Established in 1974 by the Philippine Foundation for the Rehabilitation of the Disabled, Inc. (PFRD), the Apolinario Mabini Awards is a prestigious biennial program honoring organizations and individuals who advance the rights, mobility, and welfare of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs).
“These awards affirm our commitment to creating spaces where everyone can participate fully and independently. As our portfolio grows, accessibility will remain central to how we design, build, and operate our developments,” said Jeffrey C. Lim, President of SM Prime.
SM Supermalls garnered 12 awards recognizing both new property expansions and accessibility retrofits in existing developments, aligning with the standards set by Batas Pambansa Blg. 344 (The Accessibility Law of 1983).
