VACC honored Usec. Cruz under its Law Enforcement Category, highlighting his exceptional leadership in the government’s campaign against organized and transnational crime.

  • Decisive Action: Acknowledged for his pivotal role in operations dismantling illegal scam hubs, cybercrime-related centers, and illicit activities linked to Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs).

  • Collaborative Governance: Commended for strengthening the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC)—where he previously served as Executive Director—into a vital coordinating agency for a whole-of-government response against crime.

  • Distinguished Presenters: The award was presented by VACC Chairman Atty. Manuel Obedoza, Jr., President Arsenio “Boy” Evangelista, Jr., and Secretary-General Manjinder “James” Kumar, alongside special guest Cabinet Secretary Benhur Abalos.
