OTS completes security audit of T’way Airlines at Kalibo International Airport

The Office for Transportation Security (OTS) successfully conducted a comprehensive security audit of T’way Airlines at the Kalibo International Airport from October 6 to 10, 2025, as part of its regular compliance monitoring activities.

The five-day assessment began with an entry briefing led by OTS National Aviation Security Auditors Tassel Cawit and Mary Cyreen Ricafort, who clearly outlined the objectives and scope of the audit. The discussion underscored the critical importance of implementing the National Civil Aviation Security Program and strictly adhering to international civil aviation security standards.

In line with President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.’s national vision for an efficient, reliable, and secure civil aviation sector, the audit involved a detailed walk-through inspection of airline facilities, interviews with on-duty personnel, and close coordination with airport authorities.

The OTS team concluded the process by sharing its findings and recommendations with the airline’s management and the airport authorities. The feedback focused on key areas for improvement and reiterated the paramount importance of sustained compliance with all national and international civil aviation security standards.
