Megawide secures two new multi-billion-peso contracts by Megaworld Corporation for the construction of premium residential towers within Megaworld’s sprawling township developments. The significant contracts cover comprehensive civil, structural, architectural, and MEPF (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection) works.
The two newly secured projects are Uptown Modern, the newest high-rise residential tower set to redefine modern living in Uptown Bonifacio, and One Portwood, a residential condominium featuring world-class amenities in Newport City, strategically located across the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal.
“We are very excited to again work with Megaworld, who has been our long-standing client. Our partnership with them is built on the shared pursuit of sustainability, excellence, and speed-to-market, which have defined both our organizations’ brand and track record,” said Edgar Saavedra, Megawide President and CEO. “We intend to cultivate this further by providing them products and services that meet their very strict quality and workmanship standards.”
This continued collaboration allows Megawide to once again leverage its First-World expertise in engineering and construction methodology, anchored on its proprietary pre-cast technology and integrated construction solutions. This approach has previously been showcased in successful Megaworld developments, including The Worldwide Plaza, Albany Luxury Suites, Newport Link, International Finance Tower, and Gentry Manor, among others.
Echoing the sentiment, Jennifer L. Romualdez, Megaworld Head of Operations, stated, “Our strategic partnership with Megawide has been built on a foundation of trust, and we applaud the consistent excellence they bring to every project. We are proud to collaborate with a top-tier construction company like Megawide as we turn our vision for our integrated townships like Uptown Bonifacio and Newport City into reality.”
These contracts form a key part of Megawide’s broader strategy to expand its portfolio. The Company is currently negotiating a total of P20 billion in new contracts, targeting a total order book of P50 billion by year-end. Megawide aims to maintain a balanced and diverse order book with a healthy mix of residential, commercial/industrial, and infrastructure projects to ensure long-term revenue visibility and stability.
