The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) has officially announced the commencement of the screening and evaluation phase for the 21st Batch of the Comprehensive Air Traffic Service Course (CATS 21).
Following the nationwide qualifying examination conducted on June 28, 2025, a shortlist of successful candidates has been released. These individuals are now set to undergo a rigorous interview and evaluation process to determine their fitness for one of the most critical roles in aviation safety.
To maintain eligibility, all shortlisted applicants must complete the following actions immediately:
-
Verify Status: View the official list of qualified candidates at bit.ly/CATS21QualifiedCandidates.
-
Confirm Intent: Prospective participants must formally confirm their intention to proceed by completing the prescribed Google Form: bit.ly/CATS21IntentToContinueForm.
-
Strict Deadline: The window for confirmation closes on January 16, 2026 (Friday). Failure to submit the intent form by the deadline will be interpreted as a formal withdrawal from the application process.
The CATS 21 training program is tentatively scheduled to begin in July 2026. This intensive course is designed to equip future controllers with the technical expertise required to manage the country’s increasingly complex airspace.
In a strategic move to bolster national aviation infrastructure, graduates of this specific batch are slated for deployment at the Manila Area Control Center (ACC). This facility serves as the nerve center for Philippine air traffic, managing high-altitude flights and international transitions within the Manila Flight Information Region (FIR).
Individual interview schedules and further instructions for the screening phase will be posted soon. Candidates are advised to monitor the following official channels for real-time updates:
