PRA renews partnership with The Hospital at Maayo to enhance healthcare for retirees in Cebu

The Philippine Retirement Authority (PRA) has officially renewed its partnership with The Hospital at Maayo, reaffirming its commitment to providing world-class healthcare accessibility for its foreign retiree-members. The renewal of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) solidifies the hospital’s status as an accredited Merchant Partner within the PRA’s expanding national network.

As Cebu continues to grow as a premier destination for international retirees, the collaboration ensures that PRA members have direct access to reliable, high-quality medical services. This partnership is a key component of the PRA’s strategy to bolster healthcare support in major retirement hubs across the Philippines.

Under the newly signed agreement, PRA retiree-members are entitled to a 10% discount on all hospital services. This initiative aims to alleviate the financial burden of long-term wellness, making essential diagnostics, regular consultations, and specialized hospital care more accessible and affordable for the retirement community.

The MOA renewal was attended by key executives from both organizations, signaling a shared vision for retiree well-being:

  • From The Hospital at Maayo: Dr. Lawrence Chad U. Liu (COO), Engr. Alixandre C. Rodriguez (Chief Hospital Administration), and Mr. John Hamprey Del Corro (Senior Sales and Marketing Manager).

  • From the Philippine Retirement Authority: Mr. Roberto Z. Zozobrado (CEO and General Manager), Mr. Jose Nazareth C. Delas Alas (Head of Merchant Partners Accreditation), Ms. Elma A. Corbeta (Head of Cebu Satellite Office), and Mr. Dionisio DG. Valerio Jr. (Executive Assistant to the GM). “This partnership underscores our shared objective to promote the security and quality of life of our retirees,” stated the PRA. “By maintaining an active network of accredited providers in Cebu, we ensure our members receive medical support that aligns with international standards.”
