Cebu Pacific reaches a historic milestone: 27 million passengers flown in 2025

Cebu Pacific, the Philippines’ leading airline, today announced it has shattered previous records by carrying nearly 27 million passengers in 2025. This represents a significant 9.5% increase over 2024, signaling a robust era of travel demand and operational resilience.

The airline capped off the year with its highest-ever monthly traffic in December 2025, serving over 2.7 million passengers in a single month—a 5.1% rise compared to the previous year’s holiday season.

The airline’s growth was fueled by a surge in both local and overseas travel, maintaining a healthy system-wide Seat Load Factor (SLF) of 84.0%.

  • Total Passengers: 26.9 Million (+9.5% YoY)

  • Domestic Growth: 20 million passengers, up 8.1% YoY.

  • International Growth: 6.9 million passengers, a sharp 14.0% increase.

  • December Peak: Domestic SLF reached 85.5% as holiday travel peaked.

Despite global headwinds—including supply chain disruptions, fleet reliability challenges, and geopolitical tensions—Cebu Pacific’s low-cost model proved its agility by expanding overall seat capacity by 6.9% in December alone.

Mike Szucs, Chief Executive Officer of Cebu Pacific, noted that the record-breaking numbers serve as a springboard for the airline’s upcoming 30th-anniversary celebrations. “Cebu Pacific concluded 2025 on a strong note, delivering record numbers that underscore the strength of our low-cost model. Carrying 26.9 million passengers is a testament to our team’s agility in navigating industry-wide challenges,” said Szucs. “As we enter our 30th year, we anticipate sustaining this momentum, supported by the arrival of seven new aircraft in 2026.”

Since its first flight in March 1996, Cebu Pacific has flown over 270 million passengers, pioneering the “low fare, great value” strategy that democratized air travel in the Philippines.

Today, CEB operates one of the youngest fleets in the world, featuring 100 aircraft. It maintains the most extensive network in the Philippines, connecting travelers to 37 domestic and 26 international destinations across Asia, Australia, and the Middle East.
