Port of Limay smashes 2025 revenue targets, collecting over PHP 122 billion

The Port of Limay has officially announced an outstanding fiscal performance for the year 2025, significantly outperforming both its internal and national budgetary targets. Through optimized customs operations and enhanced trade facilitation, the Port recorded a total actual collection of PHP 122.5 billion, cementing its role as a vital engine for the Bureau of Customs’ (BOC) national revenue goals.

The Port’s 2025 performance reflects a “double win,” as it exceeded two distinct benchmarks set by the government:

  • Surpassing the BESF Target: Against the Budget of Expenditures and Sources of Financing (BESF) target of PHP 121.7 billion, the Port generated a surplus of PHP 778.4 million (a 0.64% positive deviation).

  • Exceeding the Emerging Target: Against the internal “Emerging Target” of PHP 109.24 billion, the Port achieved a staggering surplus of PHP 13.27 billion, representing a 12.14% growth above expectations.

This milestone is the result of a year-long initiative to streamline port processes and intensify collection efforts. The PHP 122.5 billion total underscores the Port of Limay’s efficiency in managing high-volume trade, particularly in the energy and industrial sectors that dominate the Bataan corridor. “This remarkable accomplishment highlights the Port of Limay’s sustained commitment to efficient revenue collection and effective operational performance,” the Port stated in a briefing. “These results are not just numbers; they represent vital contributions to the Bureau’s fiscal objectives and the country’s overall economic stability.”

Several factors contributed to this record-breaking year:

  • Operational Modernization: The implementation of digital tracking systems that reduced bottlenecks.

  • Enhanced Valuation: Improved accuracy in assessment and the strict implementation of customs laws.

  • Strategic Partnerships: Stronger collaboration with stakeholders and importers to ensure seamless and transparent trade.

Looking ahead to 2026, the Port of Limay remains dedicated to maintaining this upward trajectory, ensuring that it remains a cornerstone of the Philippines’ revenue collection infrastructure.
