The Philippines solidified its status as the world’s premier underwater sanctuary at the Asia Dive Expo (ADEX) 2026, concluding its participation with a prestigious global award and a surge in dive tourism investments.
Led by the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) Philippines, the national delegation reported a staggering PHP 146.6 million in sales leads and PHP 5.48 million in immediate on-site bookings, signaling a robust appetite for the country’s world-class dive sites.
The highlight of the event was the ADEX Big Blue Legacy Awards, where the Philippines was officially named the Global Dive Destination of the Year. This accolade recognizes the country’s commitment to marine conservation, sustainable tourism, and its unparalleled biodiversity within the Coral Triangle.
“This recognition belongs to the entire Philippine dive community—from our dedicated dive masters to our resort partners who safeguard our marine ecosystems,” said a representative from the TPB. “Our success at ADEX 2026 proves that the Philippines is not just a choice, but the ultimate destination for divers seeking both adventure and environmental stewardship.”
The Philippine pavilion featured a powerhouse delegation of 24 premier dive tour operators and luxury resorts. Together, they showcased a diverse portfolio of underwater landscapes, catering to everyone from macro-photography enthusiasts to wreck diving adventurers.
Key destinations highlighted during the expo included:
