Globe strengthens network reliability with real‑time Intelligence and Automation

At the heart of this transformation are two breakthrough innovations: Automated Outage Response and Intelligent Traffic Management, designed to minimize service disruptions and manage congestion, thereby optimizing network performance for millions of Filipinos.

 

Automated Outage Response enables the network to instantly detect disruptions and optimize nearby cell sites to keep affected areas connected, whether due to unexpected failures or extreme weather, safeguarding customer experience when it matters most.

 

This innovation is already making a real difference. Automated Outage Response retains up to 50% of data connectivity during outages, compared to less than 10% without it, significantly reducing service disruptions caused by coverage loss. This ensures that critical communications, such as SMS, app messaging, and calls, remain available for customers during uncertain times.

 

Meanwhile, Intelligent Traffic Management proactively handles sudden spikes in demand during events such as concerts, holidays, traffic congestion, or emergencies. By dynamically redistributing users to less congested cells with available capacity, it ensures a consistent experience, delivering clearer calls, smoother streaming, and faster browsing even under heavy load. This network optimization initiative improves the user experience by up to 20 percent, making 4G and 5G connections more consistent and reliable even during peak demand.

 

Validated across Metro Manila, Globe is now expanding these capabilities nationwide, with full deployment targeted within 2026. This initiative aligns with the Department of Information and Communications Technology’s Oplan Bantay Signal campaign, reinforcing Globe’s shared commitment to improving quality of connection and service responsiveness, expanding coverage, and delivering equitable connectivity across the country, including underserved and geographically isolated areas.
