Finance Secretary Frederick D. Go welcomed representatives from the Philippine Business Club Indonesia (PBCI), PT Satelit Nusantara Lima (SNL), and We Are IT Philippines (WIT) for a courtesy meeting at the Department of Finance (DOF) headquarters.
The high-level meeting focused on leveraging cutting-edge space technology to drive digital inclusion across the archipelago, alongside exploring bilateral aerospace education and launch partnerships between the Philippines and Indonesia.
During the dialogue, the delegation presented major operational updates on the SNL-N5 satellite, which officially entered full commercial operations in May 2026. Manufactured by aerospace leader Boeing, the state-of-the-art satellite is engineered to deliver reliable, high-speed broadband connectivity.
The initiative is poised to bridge the digital divide, bringing critical internet infrastructure to remote, unserved, and underserved communities, potentially benefiting millions of Filipinos, boosting local economies, and supporting the government’s digitalization agenda.
