LANDBANK, TESDA partner to fuel entrepreneurship for skilled Filipinos through credit access

In a major boost to countryside development and economic empowerment, the Land Bank of the Philippines (LANDBANK) and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) have officially joined forces to help tech-voc graduates transition from trainees to thriving entrepreneurs.

The collaboration was formalized through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on June 29, 2026, at the LANDBANK Plaza in Malate, Manila.

The joint initiative, officially named the TESDA-LANDBANK Skills Training and Credit Access Partnership Program, aims to provide skilled Filipinos with the financial backing and knowledge required to establish sustainable livelihoods and viable business enterprises.

LANDBANK President and CEO Lynette V. Ortiz and TESDA Secretary Kiko B. Benitez led the ceremonial signing, underscoring both institutions’ commitment to bridging the gap between skills training and financial inclusion.

Through this program, qualified TESDA graduates who display entrepreneurial or agribusiness potential will be given direct access to LANDBANK’s robust credit facilities. This includes specialized financing pathways such as:

  • Agrisenso Plus Lending Program – Tailored to support agricultural ventures and agri-entrepreneurs.

  • LIFTING MSMEs Lending Program – Designed to provide vital capital to micro, small, and medium enterprises.

Beyond capital, the partnership integrates a critical capacity-building and financial education component to ensure that beneficiaries are equipped with the financial literacy needed to manage and scale their businesses sustainably.

“This partnership ensures that our skilled workforce isn’t just job-ready, but business-ready. By combining technical know-how with accessible credit, we are fueling inclusive growth across the country.”

The historic signing was witnessed by key officials from both agencies, including TESDA Deputy Directors General Atty. Allan Chester B. Nadate and Nelly Nita N. Dillera, and Assistant Executive Director Redilyn C. Agub.

Representing LANDBANK were First Vice President Eden B. Japitana, Assistant Vice President Ronaldo R. Averion, and Department Manager Crisso B. Pernito, alongside First Vice Presidents Atty. Nikkolas G. Tolentino and Manuel A. Dimalaluan.

By linking technical vocational education with accessible banking solutions, LANDBANK and TESDA are building a stronger foundation for grassroots entrepreneurship and driving inclusive economic development nationwide.
