Following the recent Presidential proclamation expanding the Suntrust Ecotown Tanza–Special Economic Zone (SET-SEZ) in Cavite, the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) formally welcomed this milestone through the signing of a Supplemental Agreement on 28 July 2026 at the PEZA Investment and Corporate Center in Pasay City.
The agreement was signed by PEZA Director General Tereso O. Panga and Suntrust Ecotown Developers, Inc. (SEDI) President Atty. Harrison M. Paltongan, officially incorporating an additional 331,348 square meters (33.1348 hectares) of land in Barangays Punta I and Sahud-Ulan, Tanza, Cavite into the existing economic zone.
Approved under Proclamation No. 1337, signed by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on 13 July 2026, the ₱967-million expansion project is expected to accommodate more investments, generate exports, and create more employment opportunities in one of Cavite’s key industrial hubs.
Since its registration with PEZA in 2001, Suntrust Ecotown has grown into a thriving investment hub, hosting 65 registered business enterprises in the logistics, IT-BPM, facilities, and utilities sectors. Today, the ecozone supports more than 7,900 direct Filipino jobs, contributing to the province’s continued economic growth.
DG Panga emphasized that the expansion reflects the strong confidence of investors in the Philippines and reinforces the priorities outlined by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. during his 5th State of the Nation Address.
