The Department of Budget and Management (DBM) has officially submitted the proposed ₱7.2-trillion National Expenditure Program (NEP) for Fiscal Year 2027 to President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., Malacañang announced on Monday.
Budget Secretary Kim Robert de Leon formally handed over the spending proposal to the Chief Executive, setting the stage for the administration’s continued push toward long-term economic development.
Guided by the theme “People-Centered Growth for an Inclusive and Resilient Future,” the FY 2027 proposed budget targets key social and economic sectors. Priority allocations have been directed toward:

Community Empowerment
Speaking on behalf of the Palace, Presidential Communications Office Undersecretary and Palace Press Officer Claire Castro emphasized the administration’s commitment to fiscal responsibility and impact. “Nakatuon ang budget sa edukasyon, kalusugan, kabuhayan, seguridad, at pagpapalakas ng mga komunidad alinsunod sa temang ‘people-centered growth for an inclusive and resilient future,'” Castro stated, noting that the proposed spending plan ensures every public peso yields maximum benefit for the Filipino people.
“Layunin nitong gawing mas kapaki-pakinabang ang bawat pisong pampublikong pondo sa pamamagitan ng mas mahusay na serbisyo at mas maraming oportunidad para sa mga Pilipino,” she added.
Following its submission to the President, the DBM is scheduled to formally transmit the proposed 2027 NEP to Congress on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, initiating legislative deliberations and hearings.
