Global technology and infrastructure company iSON is partnering with the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) for planned USD250 million investments in modern agriculture initiatives and a 40 MW solar project in New Clark City.
This was announced by Finance Secretary Frederick D. Go, who met with representatives from iSON to discuss the company’s existing and potential investments in the country.
According to Go, iSON plans to establish a modern agri-farming project worth USD50 million, alongside a 400-megawatt agro-solar project valued at USD200 million.
Meanwhile, Go further said that 22 percent or USD65 million of the USD300 million investments by iSON in the country for towers and digital infrastructure have already been poured for the construction 450 towers. of Go said, iSON intends to construct over 3,000 telecommunications towers nationwide.
The investment is expected to strengthen the country’s digital infrastructure and improve connectivity, helping more Filipinos gain reliable access to telecommunications and digital services. These initiatives are expected to support modern agricultural production while contributing to the country’s clean energy development.
The meeting also covered opportunities in digital healthcareand the expansion of iSON’s business process outsourcing (BPO) operations, with new onshore and offshore business expected to commence soon.
“As a group, we are excited and we are committed. We have understood the art of doing business here. The opportunities are tremendous. We want to put as much money on the ground as possible to really make it happen, ” iSON Chair Vivek Gupta said.
