Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) Commissioner Charlito Martin R. Mendoza recently met with key leaders from the Management Association of the Philippines (MAP), headed by President Dr. Donald L. Lim, to cement a collaborative roadmap aimed at building a more efficient, responsive, and taxpayer-centric tax ecosystem.
The high-level meeting served as a strategic platform to address critical business concerns and explore avenues for systemic improvement. MAP formally presented pivotal recommendations centered on streamlining tax rulings, reforming tax audit procedures, and updating outdated internal revenue rules and regulations to align with current economic realities.

Digital Transformation Agenda: The dialogue spotlighted the BIR’s ongoing digital evolution, with focused updates on high-impact initiatives such as e-Invoicing and the Electronic Sales Reporting System.

Abatement and Compliance Support: MAP formally commended the Bureau for its successful implementation of the one-time abatement, while raising additional taxation-related concerns for future policy consideration.
