Philippine MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) gets a boost with Manila’s hosting of the 8th Global Symposium of Jay’s Club International Logistics Organization (JCiLO) at Hilton Manila Hotel from May 28 to June 1, 2025.
Helmed by CEO and global president Jay Linayagamage of Sri Lanka, JCiLO is a global alliance of freight forwarding companies, logistics specialists and affiliated businesses.
With an expected attendance of more than 70 foreign delegates, the 8th Global Symposium of JCiLO will tackle recent innovations and developments in logistics and freight forwarding, latest trends in quality management control and supply chain anagement, among other topics.
This is going to be the first time that the Philippines will host the annual event, made possible by Grandlink Freight International, the 26-year old freight forwarding company that is the only JCiLO member from the Philippines.
Myra Kierulf-Roldan, president of event organizer Merck-MLI Travel and Tours, said the Global Symposium will also include a gala night at Casa Buenas on the ground floor of Hotel Okura at Newport World Resorts, a Hop On-Hop Off (HoHo) Manila heritage tour, and a post tour to either Pampanga and Subic or Tagaytay.
