Philippine Embassy in Israel Provides Round-the-Clock Assistance

The Philippine Embassy in Tel Aviv, Israel, continues its round-the-clock efforts to provide urgent assistance and support to those affected by the ongoing hostilities. The focus remains on humanitarian aid, medical care, and repatriation efforts for our nationals.

Medical Update

Out of those injured, one individual remains in critical condition with severe, life-threatening injuries and is scheduled for major surgery. This individual is currently receiving top-tier medical care in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Shamir Medical Center, one of Israel’s most advanced hospitals. Another individual is still confined at Kaplan Medical Center, recovering from moderate-to-serious injuries. We are pleased to report that five individuals have been discharged after receiving treatment for minor injuries.

Displacement and Temporary Accommodation

The missile impact has unfortunately resulted in 49 individuals losing their homes. These displaced nationals, a group that includes an infant born just last week on June 10, are currently being housed in temporary accommodations. The Embassy is working diligently to ensure its immediate needs for shelter are met.

Repatriation Efforts

Initial requests for repatriation were received from 150 individuals. As of June 17, 26 have confirmed their intent to return home, and their processing is now underway. The Embassy is facilitating the necessary arrangements to ensure a safe and organized return for these nationals.

Ongoing Assistance

A total of 63 individuals have already received various forms of assistance. This support ranges from the provision of temporary shelter to comprehensive relief packages, which include essential food items, clothes, and hygiene products.

Since the outbreak of hostilities, all Embassy personnel have been working tirelessly, staying at the Embassy 24/7 to respond immediately to the evolving needs of our affected kababayan. The Embassy remains committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of its citizens during this challenging period.
