Philippine Airlines ranks as Asia-Pacific’s most punctual airline

Philippine Airlines (PAL) has been named the top airline in the Asia-Pacific region for on-time performance (OTP) in August, according to the latest report from Cirium, a leading aviation analytics firm. The airline’s OTP improved by over 5 percentage points from the previous month, cementing its position as a leader in operational excellence.

This achievement highlights PAL’s dedication to providing a reliable and efficient travel experience for its passengers. The airline’s consistent efforts to streamline operations and enhance flight scheduling have led to this significant improvement in punctuality.

Global and Regional On-Time Performance Leaders

While PAL led the Asia-Pacific region, other airlines and airports also demonstrated strong performance in August. Here’s a snapshot of the global leaders:

Global: Azul took the top spot globally with an impressive 92.15% OTP.

North America: Delta Air Lines maintained its lead with an 83.93% OTP.

Europe: SAS emerged as the new regional leader with an 87.20% OTP, a significant improvement of over 6 points from July.

Latin America: Azul also led this region with its 92.15% OTP.

Middle East & Africa: Royal Jordanian remained the regional leader with a 92.58% OTP.
