BYD, the world’s leading New Energy Vehicle manufacturer headquartered in China’s Shenzhen, Guangdong province, boosted its vehicle lineup with two more models – BYD ATTO 2 and the new BYD SEAL 5 DM-i – to offer more choices as Filipinos transitions towards an EV lifestyle.
Adam Hu, country head of BYD & DENZA Philippines, said at the launch Tuesday, July 28, “Whether you’re taking your very first step into electrified mobility or you’re ready to embrace a fully electric lifestyle, there should be a solution that’s right for you. That belief has guided us from the very beginning.”
In transitioning towards the new energy vehicle lifestyle, Hu acknowledged that others are looking for practical and seamless ways to begin their journey towards electrification. At BYD, he said, “We don’t believe there’s only one path to the future. That is why we continue to offer more choices, so every customer can find the vehicle that fits their lifestyle, their needs, and their aspirations.”

The Seal 5 DM-i is equipped with a comprehensive suite of safety features, including Cruise Control, Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), rear parking sensors, Vehicle Dynamic Control, Hill Hold Control, Automatic Vehicle Hold, and multiple airbags, providing added confidence on every journey.
Beginning September 1, official SRPs of PHP 948,000 for the Essential and PHP1,048,000 for the Dynamic will apply. All variants come inclusive of an 8-year Drive Unit warranty, a 6-year or 160,000 km bumper-to-bumper warranty package and an 8-year or 160,000 km for the BYD Blade battery. The vehicle is available in Deep Sea Blue, Cosmos Black, Atlantis Grey, and Harbour Grey.
Meanwhile, the Atto 2 offers flexibility to match any lifestyle, featuring two distinct powertrain options: a full battery electric vehicle (BEV) or BYD’s renowned Super DM-i plug-in hybrid system. The latter is available in Premium and Dynamic variants, ensuring every driver can find the perfect fit.

The EV variant delivers up to 380 km of pure electric range. The DM-i Dynamic and Premium variants offer an electric-only range of up to 45 km and a combined range of 1,340 km based on an efficiency run by BYD Cars Philippines in partnership with the Automobile Association of the Philippines (AAP).
From July 28 to August 31, 2026, all variants of the BYD Atto 2 will have special offers available alongside enticing financing promos with BPI. Starting September 1, 2026, the official SRPs of the BYD Atto 2 will be as follows:
- BYD Atto 2 EV: PHP 1,338,000
- BYD Atto 2 DM-i Premium: PHP 1,258,000
- BYD Atto 2 DM-i Dynamic: PHP 1,048,000
Each unit purchased will be inclusive of an 8-year Drive Unit warranty, a solid 6-year or 160,000 km bumper-to-bumper warranty package and an 8-year or 160,000 km for the BYD Blade battery. The lineup will be available in Breeze Green (exclusive to the EV variant), Harbour Grey, Midnight Blue, Ski White, and Cosmos Black (exclusive to DM-i variant).
Globally, Hu reported that earlier this month, BYD celebrated the production of its 17-millionth New Energy Vehicle.
In the first half of 2026 alone, BYD delivered more than 1.8 million vehicles globally. “These milestones reflect the trust that millions of customers place in BYD and our technology. But our mission has never been simply about building more vehicles. It is about developing technologies that improve people’s lives and help reduce the world’s reliance on fossil fuels,” said Hu.
