TRB approves provisional toll rate increase for Muntinlupa-Cavite Expressway (MCX)

The Toll Regulatory Board (TRB) has granted provisional approval for an adjustment in the toll rates for the Muntinlupa-Cavite Expressway (MCX). The decision is based on the 2024 Petition for Periodic Toll Rate Adjustment filed by the MCX concessionaire, MCX Project Company, Inc. (MCXPCI).

The toll rate adjustment is in accordance with the terms of the Concession Agreement, which permits MCXPCI to petition the TRB for a review and adjustment of toll rates every two calendar years. The TRB confirmed that MCXPCI has fully complied with all necessary procedural and substantive requirements for this adjustment.

The provisional approval allows for a minimal increase in the current toll fees, effective at 12:01 AM on Monday, September 16, 2025.

The new adjusted toll rates (VAT-inclusive) are as follows:

Vehicle Class Previous Rate (approx.) New Rate (2024 Petition) Rate Increase
Class 1 (Cars, Jeepneys, Pick-ups, Vans)
Class 2 (Light Trucks, Tourist/School Buses)
Class 3 (Heavy and Large Trucks, Trailers)

The public was duly informed of the impending toll rate implementation through the required publication of the Notice of Toll Rate Implementation in a newspaper of general circulation on July 31, 2025, August 4, 2025, and August 11, 2025.

The TRB underscores that this periodic adjustment is vital to ensure the continued efficient operation, maintenance, and enhancement of the MCX, thereby providing safe and reliable service to the motoring public.

The MCX is a 4-kilometer expressway connecting the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) to Daang Hari, providing a faster and more direct route between Muntinlupa and Cavite.
