Aboitiz Foods completes acquisition of Diasham Resources, expanding regional specialty nutrition footprint

Aboitiz Foods, the food subsidiary of Aboitiz Equity Ventures, Inc. (AEV), has officially announced the completion of its 100% equity acquisition of Diasham Resources Pte. Ltd. (Diasham). The transaction was executed through Gold Coin Management Holdings Pte. Ltd. (GCMH).

This strategic move significantly broadens Aboitiz Foods’ specialty nutrition portfolio and bolsters its manufacturing and distribution capabilities across the Asia-Pacific region.

Diasham, a Singapore-based industry veteran with nearly 50 years of expertise, is a premier manufacturer and distributor of animal nutrition and health solutions. The acquisition integrates Diasham’s diverse product line into the Aboitiz Foods ecosystem, including:

  • Feed additives

  • Water-soluble health products

  • Injectables and liquid solutions

By absorbing Diasham’s established distribution networks, Aboitiz Foods strengthens its market presence in Thailand, Indonesia, China, Hong Kong, South Korea, Taiwan, Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Bangladesh.

“This acquisition gives us a more complete range of products and solutions to offer our customers across the region,” said Tristan Aboitiz, President and CEO of Aboitiz Foods. “Diasham has built a strong legacy and developed deep customer relationships over many decades; factors that mattered very much in our decision to engage in this transaction. We look forward to carrying on that legacy and working with the talented team at Diasham.”

This acquisition marks another milestone in Aboitiz Foods’ aggressive Asian expansion. Following its first international venture in Vietnam over a decade ago and the transformative 2018 acquisition of GCMH—now its largest operation outside the Philippines—the Diasham integration reinforces the company’s position as a dominant player in the regional agribusiness and food sectors.

The final consideration for the acquisition remains subject to customary closing adjustments, including debt-like items, cash, and working capital.
