Globe achieves record ₱165.1 billion revenue in 2025, defying macroeconomic headwinds

Globe has reached a new historic milestone, reporting consolidated gross service revenues of ₱165.1 billion for the full year 2025. This performance surpasses the previous record set in 2024, driven by a robust digital ecosystem and the company’s strategic shift toward data-centric services.

Despite persistent inflation and the impact of severe natural calamities—particularly in the fourth quarter—Globe maintained its growth trajectory. The company’s resilience was anchored by a ₱43.4 billion revenue performance in Q4 alone, a 5% increase over the previous quarter.

Data-related services now form the backbone of Globe’s revenue stream, accounting for 88% of total consolidated service revenues, up from 86% in 2024.

  • Mobile Business: Posted an all-time high of ₱116.9 billion.

  • Mobile Data: Reached a record ₱101.2 billion, fueled by 5G expansion and hyper-personalized offers.

  • Subscriber Base: Grew to 65.8 million (up 8% YoY), with mobile data users increasing to 39.2 million.

  • Data Usage: Total traffic surged to 6,614 petabytes, reflecting deeper data habituation among Filipinos.

The Globe At Home segment delivered ₱24.0 billion in revenues, underpinned by a successful “fiber-led” strategy.

  • Fiber Revolution: Fiber revenues rose 6% YoY, now accounting for 91% of total home broadband revenue.

  • GFiber Prepaid (GFP): Solidified its position as the country’s fastest-growing prepaid fiber service, with the subscriber base jumping to over 820,000.

  • Innovation: In September 2025, Globe launched the 5G WiFi loop—a world-first device integrating a WiFi router with an Android touchscreen and high-quality speakers—capturing the “on-the-go” broadband market.

Globe Business recorded an all-time high of ₱20.7 billion in corporate data revenues. While core data services saw cautious spending, the ICT sector flourished:

  • Business Application Solutions (BAS): Grew by 31% quarter-on-quarter in Q4.

  • Future-Proofing: Globe is aggressively integrating AI and investing in subsea cables and data centers to power the nation’s digital transformation.

Globe’s commitment to “more from less” resulted in a 1% decline in total operating expenses, which settled at ₱77.5 billion. Significant savings were realized through:

  • Marketing & Subsidy Costs: Reduced by 25%.

  • Provisions: Lowered by 9%.

  • Utilities & Admin: Eased by 2%.

These efficiencies helped offset rising costs in interconnectivity, leases, and network maintenance required to sustain superior service quality. “Our 2025 performance highlights Globe’s agility in sustaining growth momentum amid a highly competitive environment and macroeconomic challenges,” the company stated. “By focusing on our core digital services and expanding our ecosystem, we continue to power the everyday connectivity of millions of Filipinos.”
