Pres. Marcos Jr. inspects Mandaue City eGovPH Serbisyo Hub to boost digital government efficiency

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. concluded a multi-city visit to Cebu on Monday with a high-level inspection of the eGovPH Serbisyo Hub in Barangay Subangdaku, Mandaue City. The visit underscores the administration’s commitment to streamlining government transactions and making public services more accessible to every Filipino.

The five-story facility serves as a centralized “one-stop shop,” integrating physical government service desks with the country’s unified digital platform. By merging traditional face-to-face services with the eGovPH App, the hub allows citizens to book appointments and upload necessary documents before arriving, significantly reducing waiting times.

During the tour, President Marcos emphasized the importance of digital integration in eliminating bureaucratic bottlenecks. The eGovPH Serbisyo Hub is designed to:

  • Accelerate Transactions: Consolidating multiple agencies in one location prevents citizens from traveling to different parts of the city.

  • Combat Red Tape: By streamlining workflows, the hub minimizes the presence of “fixers” and ensures transparent processing.

  • Bridge the Digital Divide: Acting as a physical extension of the eGovPH App, the hub assists those who may need guidance navigating digital platforms.

Several national agencies have established permanent service desks within the hub to provide immediate assistance:

Social & Health Services Financial & Labor Services Documentation
Dept. of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Social Security System (SSS) Phil. Statistics Authority (PSA)
Dept. of Health (DOH) PhilHealth Dept. of Labor and Employment (DOLE)

The President was joined by top cabinet officials, including Education Secretary Sonny Angara, PCO Acting Secretary Dave Gomez, and PCO Undersecretary Claire Castro. Local leadership was also well-represented by Cebu Governor Pam Baricuatro, Mandaue Representative Emmarie “Lolypop” Quano-Dizon, and Mandaue City Mayor Jonas Cortes Ouano.

The inspection also highlighted the role of community involvement. The President was welcomed by volunteers from the Marcos Pa Rin NGO, who support the hub’s operations and facilitate the distribution of the administration’s flagship P20-per-kilo rice initiative.

This visit to Mandaue City capped a productive circuit for the President, which included official activities in Bogo City, Lapu-Lapu City, and Cebu City, all aimed at strengthening regional infrastructure and digital governance.
