World Trade Center Metro Manila announces P3 billion expansion to modernize and elevate the Philippine MICE industry

World Trade Center Metro Manila (WTCMM), the country’s pioneer and premier exhibition venue, today announced a major expansion plan backed by a P3 billion investment.

This strategic move is designed to significantly increase venue capacity, satisfy the rising demands of local and international event organizers, and reinforce the Philippines’ standing as a premier global destination for business events, conferences, and trade shows.

The multi-billion-peso expansion will scale WTCMM’s total indoor exhibition space to nearly 20,000 square meters. In addition, the venue will maintain approximately 7,000 square meters of outdoor space, ensuring continued flexibility for large-scale outdoor setups, heavy machinery displays, and specialized activations.

This development directly responds to sustained market demand from organizers whose annual events continue to grow in scale, complexity, and audience reach. With its current halls consistently operating at peak capacity and anchoring the country’s largest annual exhibitions, the expansion ensures that WTCMM can accommodate both returning flagship shows and new market entrants that require substantial scheduling flexibility and world-class infrastructure.

“This expansion is an investment in the future of the Philippine exhibitions and events industry,” said Ms. Pamela D. Pascual, Chairman and CEO of WTCMM. “It reflects our confidence in the market, our commitment to helping our partners scale, and our determination to ensure that the Philippines remains highly competitive in attracting major regional and international events.”

Beyond adding physical space, the upgrade is envisioned to elevate the Philippines’ position within the highly competitive global Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) landscape. The enhanced facility will feature versatile multi-hall configurations, advanced function rooms, and seamless indoor-outdoor integrations tailored to the evolving needs of modern event planners. By boosting its capabilities, WTCMM is poised to attract a broader portfolio of foreign organizers and global trade shows, driving economic growth and tourism to the country.

In preparation for the grand opening in 2028, WTCMM will officially begin accepting bookings in advance. This early-access window allows organizers to secure prime calendar dates and strategically plan their flagship events ahead of the launch.

With this landmark expansion, World Trade Center Metro Manila reinforces its industry leadership and reaffirms its vital role in shaping the next chapter of trade, commerce, and business events in the Philippines.
