The Philippines’ headline or overall inflation, which measures the pace of growth in prices of goods and services over time, eased to 6.4 percent in June 2026 from 6.8 percent in May 2026, primarily due to the slowed down in the transport index to 12.8 percent from 16.2 percent the previous month, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) reported.

Also contributed to the downtrend of the overall inflation was the slower annual growth rates in the indices of food and non-alcoholic beverages at 5.2 percent in June 2026 from 5.7 percent in May 2026, and furnishings, household equipment and routine household maintenance at 3.7 percent in June 2026 from 3.9 percent in the previous month.
