DPWH fast-tracks stalled infrastructure projects in Cavite following on-site inspection

Following direct mandates from President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to accelerate nationwide infrastructure development, Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Vince Dizon inspected critical, long-delayed road projects in Cavite to enforce immediate completion.

During an inspection of the Manila-Cavite Road in Noveleta, Secretary Dizon directed regional officials to immediately resume and expedite construction to alleviate severe traffic congestion that has affected local commuters and motorists.

“The President’s directive is clear: finish the unfinished projects and prioritize the daily well-being of the Filipino people,” Secretary Dizon stated during the site visit. “We must ensure these critical arteries are opened to the public without unnecessary delay.”

The inspection was conducted alongside local officials, including Cavite Governor Francisco “Abeng” Remulla, Noveleta Mayor Davey Chua, and Cavite City Mayor Denver Chua, to ensure full coordination between national and local government units.

The DPWH confirmed that contractors and regional directors involved with delayed sites across the province are subject to strict monitoring, with orders to either fast-track work or face project termination.
