The Department of Transportation (DOTr), in partnership with the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX), announces the official commencement of construction for the new EDSA Busway Station at PITX, beginning Monday, August 10, 2026.
This major infrastructure enhancement aims to significantly improve commuter connectivity, streamline transfer protocols between urban and provincial routes, and deliver a faster, more seamless travel experience for thousands of daily passengers.
To ensure public safety and maintain continuous terminal operations during construction, temporary adjustments to traffic flow and passenger movement within the PITX complex will be implemented starting August 10.
While these necessary works may cause minor travel delays, DOTr and PITX management have outlined comprehensive traffic and crowd management plans to minimize disruption.
“We ask for the commuting public’s understanding and patience as we undertake this crucial upgrade,” said a DOTr spokesperson. “These temporary inconveniences are a stepping stone toward a far more reliable, efficient, and interconnected public transport network.”
To help ensure smooth journeys during the construction period, passengers are strongly encouraged to:

The addition of the dedicated EDSA Busway Station at PITX reinforces the government’s commitment to modernizing national transport infrastructure. Once completed, the station will directly integrate the EDSA Busway service into the country’s first landport, bridging the gap between southern metro commuters, provincial buses, and core city transit corridors.
