BCDA to start construction of entire Hacienda Luisita Interchange

The Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) is completing the entire Hacienda Luisita Interchange to provide better access to motorists all the way to Baguio and Clark.

BCDA President and CEO Joshua M. Bingcang said a ground breaking ceremony will be held on Tuesday (Aug. 11) to be attended by local government executives to be led by Gov. Christian Yap.

“We will complete the entire interchange because it is just a hub for now, you can access Luisita to Clark but from Baguio to Luisita and Luisita to Baguio, none,” said Bingcang. The complete interchange will open easier accessibility to commuters.

The Hacienda Luisita Interchange Expansion project contract  costs PHP172,097,781.80 but the entire project could reach PHP300 million, including the construction of toll booths, and other amenities. The project is funded by BCDA and construction will run for nine months or 240 calendar days.

The project has two components: the construction of ramps from TPLEX/Baguio bound and Clark/Subic/Manila bound.

For the TPLEX/Baguio bound, BCDA will construct a 624m 2-lane access entry ramp and a 242m 1-lane additional exit ramp with toll plaza, drainage, slope protection, utilities streetlights and other miscellaneous structures.

For the Clark/Subic/Manila bound, this involves the construction of a 681m 2-lane access exit ramp with toll plaza, drainage, slope protection, utilities streetlights and other miscellaneous structures.
