The Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) officially welcomed executives from the Australia-based Kairos Care and Kairos Medical Group to the PEZA Investment and Corporate Center on August 13, 2026. The meeting marks a significant step toward the establishment of new export-oriented IT-BPO operations in the country.
Kairos Care and Kairos Medical Group, renowned providers of general practice, mental health, disability support, and aged care services in Australia, are looking to the Philippines to bolster their administrative and back-office capabilities. The initiative, referred to PEZA by the Philippine Trade and Investment Center (PTIC) in Sydney, aims to support the company’s Australian and global operations through a high-value Philippine-based team.
During the discussions, PEZA Director General Tereso O. Panga highlighted the Philippines’ enduring competitive advantages as a premier investment destination. DG Panga showcased the fiscal and non-fiscal incentives available under the CREATE MORE Act, the robust support offered by PEZA’s ecozone ecosystem, and the consistent success of Australian firms already thriving within the Authority’s jurisdiction.
“We are thrilled to partner with Kairos Care as they bring their specialized healthcare expertise to our shores,” said DG Panga. “As the healthcare sector increasingly integrates artificial intelligence to enhance patient care, the Philippines stands ready to provide a future-ready, tech-enabled workforce to support these global innovations.”
Beyond back-office support, Kairos revealed ambitious plans for long-term growth in the Philippines. The company intends to scale its local operations to provide outsourced services to other international healthcare organizations. Furthermore, the delegation is exploring potential partnerships with Philippine universities for internship programs and talent development, as well as unique collaborations with local resorts to integrate wellness, rehabilitation, and mental health programs.
This investment engagement aligns with PEZA’s ongoing commitment to attracting high-tech, knowledge-driven investments that connect Filipino professionals with global markets. It also serves as a testament to the strengthening bilateral trade and investment relationship between the Philippines and Australia, particularly within the burgeoning health services and IT-BPO sectors.
