Isuzu drives modern public transportation in Batangas with NPR PUV turnover

Ibaan, Batangas – Reinforcing its commitment to delivering reliable mobility solutions across the country, Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC), together with dealer partner Isuzu Calapan, turned over two units of the Isuzu NPR85 Class III PUVs to Perlas RCG Transport Tours Corp., a transport cooperative based in Ibaan, Batangas.

The new PUVs will serve the Lobo to Lipa City route and vice versa, supporting the modernization of public transportation in the province through dependable, fuel-efficient, and commuter-friendly mobility solutions.

The acquisition supports the cooperative’s efforts to enhance transportation services for the communities it serves, providing commuters with a modern and reliable mobility option for their daily travel needs. Recognizing the important role of transport operators in connecting communities and supporting local development, IPC remains committed to providing reliable and efficient mobility solutions that help move people and progress forward.

“We are honored to be part of Perlas RCG Transport Tours’ mission of serving commuters in Batangas. Partnerships such as this reflect a shared commitment to improving the transportation experience of everyday Filipinos, and we look forward to supporting their operations not only through our reliable and fuel-efficient vehicles, but also through Isuzu’s unmatched Aftersales support,” said IPC Department Head for Dealer Sales Mario Ojales.

Also present during the turnover ceremony were Perlas RCG Transport Tours Chairman Juanito Humarang, Ibaan Mayor Honorable Jane A. Casas, Vice Mayor Honorable Edralyn Joy A. Salvame, CENTRO Assistant Sales Manager Carlo Enriquez, and Agribank Lipa Branch Head Alvin Rempis, underscoring the strong collaboration among stakeholders in supporting the cooperative’s fleet modernization efforts. Mayor Casas highlighted the importance of strengthening these partnerships and expressed her confidence in the Isuzu brand.

“Isuzu vehicles have long been known for their durability and reliability. Based on my own experience and that of my colleagues in the construction industry, Isuzu has consistently proven its quality and dependability. For us, Isuzu remains the number one choice,” said Mayor Casas.

Designed for Longer, More Comfortable Journeys

Built to meet the demands of daily public transportation, the Isuzu NPR85 Class III PUV combines durability, reliability, passenger capacity, and comfort in a modern transport solution. As part of Isuzu’s best-selling N-Series truck lineup with proven durability, the NPR85 is engineered to withstand the rigors of continuous daily operations, helping operators maximize vehicle uptime and maintain dependable transportation services for their passengers.

Built on the capable NPR platform, the Class III PUV offers a higher GVW and payload capacity suited for carrying passengers over longer-distance routes. This provides transport operators with the capability and durability required for demanding provincial and inter-city operations while maintaining reliable performance throughout the journey.

The NPR85 Class III PUV is also designed with the comfort and convenience of long-distance commuters in mind. Its passenger body, built by CENTRO, features a front-facing seating configuration, allowing passengers to sit comfortably in the direction of travel—a more suitable arrangement for longer journeys. Combined with a closed and air-conditioned cabin, supported by an air-conditioning system from Country Cool Phils., passengers are provided with a more comfortable and convenient commuting experience while being better protected from heat, rain, road dust, and other outside elements.

Its high ground clearance further adds to its suitability for varying road conditions, particularly during the rainy season when commuters may encounter wet, uneven, or challenging roads. Together, these features provide passengers with a safer, more comfortable, and more convenient way to travel, especially on longer routes.

Powering the NPR85 Class III PUV is Isuzu’s dependable and fuel-efficient 4JH1-TC diesel engine, designed to help transport operators maximize fuel economy while delivering the power and reliability required for daily operations. As fuel expenses remain one of the largest operating costs for public transportation operators, efficient fuel consumption can help manage expenses and improve overall operational efficiency.

For transport operators such as Perlas RCG Transport Tours, this combination of passenger capacity, durability, fuel efficiency, and commuter-focused design provides a practical modern mobility solution that can support both the needs of passengers and the long-term sustainability of transport operations.
