In light of the escalating tensions in the Middle East, the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) are on heightened alert, reaffirming their commitment to the safety and welfare of Filipino Overseas Workers (OFWs) and their families in the region.
Both agencies are actively monitoring the situation and have issued a reminder of the readily available emergency hotlines and support channels for OFWs who may be affected or require immediate assistance.
“Our primary concern is the safety and well-being of our countrymen abroad,” stated a DMW representative. “We want to assure our OFWs and their families that they are not alone. The DMW and OWWA, in close coordination with the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) and the Department of National Defense (DND), are continuously monitoring developments and are prepared to provide necessary assistance.”
