The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB), under the guidance of DOTr Secretary Giovanni βBanoyβ Z. Lopez, will be using an online platform in receiving applications for the Land-Based Service Contracting Program (SCP) of the national government.
LTFRB Chairperson Atty. Vigor D. Mendoza II said the move is in line with the instruction of President Ferdinand βBongbongβ R. Marcos, Jr. to expedite the assistance to the commuters especially amid the adverse effects of the Middle east conflict to the prices of fuel products in the country.
βEven in times of challenging situations like this, we always make it a point that the LTFRB delivers the fastest and most convenient way of reaching out to our clients,β said Chairperson Mendoza.
βIto naman po ang bilin sa atin ng ating Pangulong Marcos noong nakaraang pagpupulong namin kasama si Secretary Banoy, and our compliance is doing well,β he added.
President Marcos earlier met with the DOTr and the LTFRB and discussed various assistance packages that include fuel subsidy and service contracting program.
The additional P10 per liter fuel subsidy is now being finalized while the service contracting program is now accepting applicants for buses that will be utilized for EDSA Carousel and feeder routes.
The same program is also available for UV Express and modern jeepneys nationwide; and, modern and traditional jeepneys in Metro Manila and urban areas in the provinces.
Chairperson Mendoza said qualified operators can apply online via Land-based SCP (LBSCP) Registration System with the following requirements:
- Consent to the LTFRB Terms and Conditions
- Bank account under the name of the qualified operators
- Vehicle plate number & case number
- Global Positioning System (GPS) Provider
For cases where areas have no cellular signal for the GPS, manual monitoring upon determination of the LTFRB.
And in compliance with the directive of Secretary Lopez, the LTFRB committed to expedite the processing time wherein the evaluation and onboarding is within 24 hours upon receipt of application.
The start of operation schedule will be sent via LBSCP registration system.
