The Bureau of Customs (BOC) has adopted a three-year validity period for exporter registration in the Client Profile Registration System (CPRS), as part of its continuing efforts to facilitate trade, enhance data integrity, and promote consistency with the three-year validity period for importer accreditation.
Under Memorandum No. 51-2026, issued on April 24, 2026, Commissioner Ariel F. Nepomuceno directed the Management Information Systems and Technology Group (MISTG) to configure the CPRS to reflect the prescribed validity period. The measure is consistent with Customs Administrative Order (CAO) No. 08-2020, which requires exporters to be registered in the CPRS prior to engaging in export activities.
Under the policy, exporter registration shall be valid for three (3) years upon registration, unless sooner deactivated, suspended, or cancelled in accordance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
Commissioner Nepomuceno emphasized that the initiative aims to strengthen the reliability of exporter information in the CPRS while supporting more responsive and efficient export processing. “This measure ensures that our exporter database remains accurate and reflective of active stakeholders. By adopting a defined validity period, we are improving data quality while maintaining a facilitative environment for legitimate exporters,” he said.
All District Collectors have been directed to ensure the proper implementation of the prescribed validity period, including the verification and updating of exporter registration records.
The BOC continues to strengthen its systems and processes to support efficient trade facilitation while upholding accountability in export operations across the Philippines.
