Fly Ace Corporation (Fly Ace), one of the Philippines’ leading food and beverage companies, partnered with the First Gen group (First Gen), the country’s leading renewable (RE) energy provider, to directly source renewable energy for its electricity needs. This partnership supports Fly Ace’s ongoing sustainability initiatives and reinforces its commitment to establishing measurable environmental goals.
The agreement, finalized in April 2026, enables Fly Ace to aggregate around 1,420 kilowatts (kW) of power demand for its corporate offices in Pasay City and other company sites in Manila and Sta.Rosa, Laguna with First Gen, and directly source power supply from First Gen’s Unified Leyte Geothermal Plants.
“We are at a point where we would like to grow responsibly and sustainably, making a more meaningful impact beyond building strong consumer brands. Our partnership with First Gen will enable us to expand our business while reducing our carbon footprint and optimizing our power consumption in the process,” said Fly Ace Corporation president Lucio Cochanco Jr.
Since its inception over 50 years ago, Fly Ace has become a strong force in the Philippine consumer goods industry through leading brands such as Jolly, Doña Elena, Jolly Heart Mate and Good Life. Fly Ace has also expanded into emerging categories such as frozen goods and pet care, while further strengthening partnerships with leading global brands including Lotus Biscoff, Welch’s and Mott’s.
“It is a privilege to forge a collaborative partnership with Fly Ace as they aim to improve operational efficiency while establishing sustainability goals. We are committed to supporting them in achieving milestones in their decarbonization journey,” said First Gen Chief Customer Engagement Officer Carlo Vega.
First Gen has 1,700 MW of generating capacity from 31 hydro, geothermal, solar and wind facilities nationwide. The company aims to grow its renewable energy portfolio to 9 gigawatts (GW) by 2030, with on-going projects in the Philippines and Indonesia.
